About Amara

Amara helps families stay connected across generations. We build a simple device and app that gives people over 70 a daily companion and gives their adult children a way to stay close, even from far away. We're a small team in Berlin, we move fast, and we care about warmth over polish.

What you'll do

You join a three-person marketing team and get real ownership from week one. Your work shows up publicly, not in a drawer.

- Community: reply to comments and DMs on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Threads in Amara's voice, spot patterns and flag what the team should know

- Content production: support shoots, cut short clips, prepare captions and post plans, keep our content calendar current

- Research: track competitors, pull audience insights, summarise what's working on social for our category

- Outreach: help build creator and partner lists, prepare briefs, keep the pipeline tidy

- Reporting: pull weekly numbers from our tools and turn them into a short, readable update

- Ops: keep our asset library, templates and briefs in order so the team can move quickly

What you bring

- Enrolled at a university in Germany, available 16 to 20 hours per week during the semester, more in breaks if you want

- German at native level and confident written English

- You are an active social media user (Instagram, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, Substack) and interested in creating and managing channels

- Basic editing skills (CapCut, Instagram Edits, TikTok interface)

- You write clearly and warmly, and you notice tone

- You're organised, reliable, and comfortable asking questions instead of guessing

- Interest in families, ageing and how technology fits into people's lives

Nice to have

- Experience with Canva, Metricool or a comparable scheduling tool

- Experience in community management or a customer-facing role

- You've filmed or been on camera before and don't mind it

What you get

- Real responsibility on channels that matter, with a mentor who reviews your work and gives you feedback every week

- A front-row seat in an early-stage company building a new product category

- Flexible hours around your studies, hybrid work from our Berlin office

- A team that speaks plainly, decides fast and treats you as a colleague

How to apply
