Beschreibung bereitgestellt von akeno

We sell software to large manufacturing companies. Nearly every deal involves security reviews, data protection questions, and audit requirements, and every month there is a set of finance routines that simply has to be right. You will be the person who keeps both running.

This is not a shadowing role. You will take over concrete, recurring responsibilities and run them week after week, with our founders as your direct counterpart and backstop. The structures and tools are already in place, so you can focus on operating them reliably and improving them where they no longer fit.

16 to 20 hours per week, flexible around your lecture and exam schedule. We are looking for someone who wants to stay for at least 12 months.

What You'll Do

  • Run our monthly accounting routines in Moss: pre-accounting, receipt and invoice matching, expense and card transactions, and chasing whatever is missing
  • Make sure all relevant documents and invoices reach our tax advisor on time and error-free
  • Support our financial reporting: prepare recurring reports, keep the underlying data clean, and flag inconsistencies early
  • Maintain our asset inventory: keep hardware, licenses, and SaaS subscriptions documented from purchase to return, reconcile it against our ISMS asset register and our actual spend, and make sure devices are assigned, tracked, and collected again when someone leaves
  • Maintain our ISMS in Kertos: keep policies, processing records, and evidence up to date, and track open tasks to completion
  • Prepare the compliance documentation our enterprise deals depend on: draft answers to security questionnaires and data protection questions based on our existing documentation, so our founders and sales team only need to review and sign off
  • Keep our data protection records (processing activities, DPAs, vendor overview) current as our tooling changes
  • Automate and document repetitive work rather than absorbing it

Requirements

Must-haves

  • Enrolled student in business administration, business law, or a comparable field, with at least 3 semesters completed
  • First practical experience in finance, accounting, compliance, audit, or a startup operations role, for example through a working student position or internship
  • Genuinely reliable with recurring, detail-heavy work: things you own get done on schedule, and you speak up early when something is off
  • Interest in GDPR and information security, plus the ability to get up to speed quickly on frameworks you have not worked with yet
  • Confident with spreadsheets and quick to learn new tools
  • Structured written communication: you can turn our internal documentation into a clean answer for an external reader
  • Fluent German and English

Nice-to-haves

  • Exposure to accounting or finance tooling (e.g. Moss, DATEV, Personio) or to a compliance platform
  • First contact with ISO 27001, SOC 2, TISAX, or comparable frameworks
  • Familiarity with scripting or data tooling to keep reporting and automations running yourself
  • Interest in building a career in finance, compliance, or startup operations
