Role Description This full-time Praktikum role in commercial finance is an on-site position based in Jena. The intern will support financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of key performance indicators for business units. Day-to-day tasks include preparing financial reports, supporting month-end and quarter-end processes, and contributing to cost and revenue analyses that inform commercial decisions. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, ensuring accuracy of figures, and helping to prepare presentations for management. The intern will gain practical experience in commercial finance within a global medical technology environment, contributing to continuous improvement of financial processes.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Commercial Finance and Finance, with an interest in supporting business decisions through financial insights.
• Skills in Financial Planning and Budgeting, including working with forecasts, cost structures, and basic financial models.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and present clear, structured findings.
• Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in common office and spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel) and comfort working with financial data.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; German language skills are an advantage.
