👋 Join valuemize

valuemize is redefining how Europe’s manufacturing industry designs, builds, and prices physical products.

We’re creating a new software category between ERP and PLM - Lifecycle Cost Intelligence - to help industrial companies make smarter, faster, and more profitable product decisions.

Every year, manufacturers lose billions because 80% of product costs are decided before production starts — and teams still rely on disconnected spreadsheets.

We’re building the system that fixes that.

Our platform connects engineering, cost, and sourcing data in one collaborative space, enabling hardware teams to simulate and optimize product costs in real time.

🧠 About the Role

As an AI Software Engineer / Data Scientist Intern or Working Student at valuemize, you'll work at the heart of our product, building and experimenting with AI and data components that make cost and product data actionable for engineers and business users alike.

You’ll collaborate closely with our Co-Founder & CTO Dominik, who brings 13+ years of engineering leadership experience, from leading teams at SAP to building large-scale payment systems.

This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to shape a category-defining AI/SaaS product from its earliest stages.

⚙️ Our Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React / Next.js (Full-Stack App)
  • Backend: Node.js / TypeScript / SQL / Postgres / Prisma ORM
  • Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD
  • AI/ML: Python, data pipelines, LLM integrations

What You’ll Do

  • Build and experiment with AI/ML components for cost prediction, anomaly detection and data analysis
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines connecting ERP, PLM and external data sources
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer teams to translate manufacturing challenges into intelligent software features
  • Take ownership of projects and contribute to engineering best practices

🎯 Who You Are

  • Currently studying Computer Science, Data Science, AI or a related field.
  • Vast experience in building with AI, analyzing complex data structures and applying it in real products
  • Strong experience with TypeScript / Node.js / Next.js or similar modern stacks
  • You have a quality mindset and understand the importance of test automation
  • Comfortable with high pace and ambiguity, you enjoy shipping fast & improving continuously
  • You think like an engineer and a product builder: balancing clean code with customer impact

💪 What You’ll Get

  • Impact: Build core systems in a product used by world-class hardware teams
  • Ownership: Work with high autonomy and see your code directly impact customers
  • Mentorship: Learn from and collaborate with senior engineers and founders
  • Modern Tech: Work with a cutting-edge stack and experiment with AI applications
  • Growth: Shape the early technical direction of a fast-scaling SaaS startup
  • Culture: Low-ego, high-trust team that values craftsmanship and execution
  • Location: Join us in Munich’s startup hub at WERK1 (hybrid optional)
