About the role:

The Network team establishes sound partner and operational risk management practices and strategically enhances our Network of Partners. Our vision is to have an autonomous ecosystem of network partners that empowers Upvest's growth. The Network Intern plays a supportive role within the team, overseeing vendor documentation, questions from internal teams and supporting ongoing initiatives. This role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely execution of various network tasks. A key aspect of this role will be working across internal teams in order to fulfill vendor requirements. Internship length is 6 months and location is Berlin.

What you’ll do:

  • Learn the ins and outs of vendor relationship management from due diligence process and account openings to BAU and strategic discussions & project management.
  • Support the network team throughout the lifecycle of vendor relationships from initial selection and onboarding to ongoing relationship management, issue resolution, and successful contractual and commercial negotiations.
  • Providing support for ongoing network initiatives and projects.
  • Working cross-functionally with operations, product and banking teams to resolve vendor requests.
  • Update and complete vendor documentation in case of new functionality or accounts.
  • Solve problems efficiently with calmness and creativity.
  • Addressing and resolving internal inquiries regarding vendor management.

What you bring:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Excitement about technology and investments and willingness to start your career at one of the fastest growing Fintechs in Europe.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Experience with different stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to solve problems with a self-serve approach and willingness to work closely with vendors, subject matter experts, and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, familiar with AI tools.

It’s great if you have:

  • Experience working in the financial industry or any other regulated environment.
  • German is not required but is a plus.

Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Operations in Berlin für dich bedeutet: die Vergütungsregeln, die Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
