Global Trade Internship (m/f/d) - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

What To Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated intern to join our Global Trade & GigaFactory Berlin Team. Our Global Trade Team oversees all import/export operations and trade billing processes for GigaFactory Berlin, while managing Tesla's trade compliance policies, programs, applications, and tools. We also conduct due diligence to integrate and optimize these elements into daily operations.

During the internship, you will support the Global Trade & GigaFactory Berlin Team across key functional areas, including Operations, Finance, Legal, Strategy, and Programs. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily import/export processes, handling inquiries related to trade billing, and contributing to team initiatives.

What You'll Do

Engage with various internal functions across Tesla’s Global Trade Team

Bring “First Principle Thinking” to learn and drive operational efficiencies

Partner internally to rethink established processes and systems to support new and evolving business models

Act as a resource for researching Global Trade & Customs questions internally

Actively assist in conducting internal customs audits and implement recommended solutions

Support Tesla`s periodic reconciliation with customs broker data and involving invoicing process with accounting team for customs related expenses

What You'll Bring

Very good knowledge of German as well as good knowledge of English, both written and spoken

Preferably studying or experienced in a relevant field of logistics and trade / finance

Good knowledge in the areas of moderation and training for the introduction of processes

Exceptional analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Experience or Interest in systems implementation and enhancements

An ability to communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

Capacity to create written reports, proposals, processes, and presentations

Work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high quality results
