Commercial Planning Intern
Team: Revenue Operations (RevOps)
Location: Berlin, Germany (office-first)
Duration: minimum 4 months
Team description
Revenue Operations sits at the centre of SumUp's financial engine, turning complex commercial data into the forecasts and insights that guide decisions across the business. This internship comes at a moment of rapid growth, when accurate reporting and reliable forecasting matter more than ever to keep pace with expanding markets and rising operational complexity. It's a chance to see how a fast growing fintech plans, measures and adjusts course in real time, and to build financial modelling and analysis skills that will serve well beyond this internship.
What you'll do
- Update weekly and monthly performance reporting materials for the Revenue Operations team
- Support the maintenance and improvement of acquisition and revenue forecast models
- Prepare variance analyses to help identify risks and opportunities
- Contribute to deep dive studies and support the development of investment business cases
- Support the pricing and monetisation team with business cases and execution
- Identify opportunities to automate repeatable reporting tasks and simple data transformations
You'll be great for this role if
- Final year Bachelor's or Master's student in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration with a strong academic record
- Basic experience in financial modelling, forecasting, or budgeting, paired with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets, along with working knowledge of SQL
- Comfort managing multiple tasks in a structured, organised way while staying open minded and pragmatic
- Ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment

Wochenstunden
Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.
Werkstudenten-RegelnSozialabgaben
Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
Versicherung prüfenInternationale Studierende
Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
