Intern Mechanical Design & Product Development (m/f/d)

About the role:

As Intern Mechanical Design & Product Development, you will be a key part of our Droneport Team to develop innovative storage, charging, launch and landing capabilities for professional drones. Together with our World-Class-Team, currently 17 team members, you will take an empowering role: pushing the boundaries of drone technologies.

You will be working closely with stakeholders from the Droneport department to create a system, that protect drones from environmental influences and enables safe launch and landing. Enabling fully automated mission execution to Quantum-Systems - your mission will be a powerful impact.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Conduct market and patent research on competing products and technologies
• Support the mechanical development of innovative Droneport systems
• Create 3D CAD models and assemblies using CATIA V5
• Generate manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
• Evaluate and select suitable materials and manufacturing processes
• Design components for additive manufacturing and prototype development
• Manufacture and assemble prototypes using in-house 3D printers
• Plan, execute, and document development-related tests and experiments
