Working Student (all genders) Legal & Compliance

We are looking for a Working Student (all genders) to join our Legal & Compliance department in Hamburg as soon as possible, working at least 12 hours per week.

As part of our team, you will gain first-hand experience with exciting and current legal questions concerning our internationally operating digital online platforms. For example: How do we ensure compliance with new legislation? What needs to be considered when concluding online contracts? What compliance requirements apply to advertising campaigns?

Minimum Qualifications

• You are currently studying Law or Business Law and have at least 24 months remaining until graduation (State Examination, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).
• An interest in IT and media law.
• A reliable, structured and careful approach to work, with an eye for detail and a willingness to take on administrative tasks.
• Fluency in German and English, particularly for preparing written work results in English.
• Good knowledge of common MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with knowledge databases, document filing and contract management systems.
• An interest in presenting legal topics in a clear and audience-appropriate manner, for example by preparing memoranda or presentations.
• An understanding of compliance requirements across different jurisdictions.
• Previous experience using ChatGPT or comparable generative AI tools.

What you can expect

• You will take on administrative and supporting tasks (document filing, handling incoming mail, etc.) and help maintain our internal knowledge database.
• Through your legal research, you will actively contribute to exciting projects, for example on legal questions relating to digital accessibility, while gaining valuable insights into the diverse responsibilities of our Legal department.
• You will support the structuring and consolidation of existing documentation, information and project results.
• You will be responsible for preparing and presenting legal findings, both in terms of content and administration, for example by creating presentations in English.
• You will support the documentation of processes to ensure their structure and traceability.
