RIA1.1 (RI Closing, Reporting & Governance) is responsible for the governance, coordination, quality assurance, and further development of Munich Re's reinsurance accounting and closing processes. The department ensures reliable financial reporting through strong controls, centralized IFRS 17 quality assurance, global closing coordination, and continuous enhancement of systems and data processes. RIA1.1 acts as a key interface between accounting, reporting, IT, and international entities, driving efficiency, consistency, and compliance across the organization.

Your Job

  • Supporting the quarterly closing activities related to IFRS17
  • Preparation and coordination of the IFRS17 Update Call for the International Organisation
  • Drive AI adoption within our team and support day-to-day use of AI tools
  • Support to develop innovative AI use cases to enhance efficiency and automation

Your Profile

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Strong interest in accounting, financial processes, and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in an international environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT is an advantage

Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit. The first master's degree may not have been completed before/during the entire internship.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
