Beschreibung bereitgestellt von Mello HQ

Mello is building the AI-native control platform for complex enterprise spend.

Enterprises spend trillions on their supply chains and almost none of it is actually controlled. Contracts run hundreds of pages, invoices run hundreds of line items, and no system on the market can check the one against the other. So invoices get paid without anyone really looking, and 5 to 10% of that spend quietly leaks away.

Our AI agents read the invoices, enforce the contracts line by line, dispute what is wrong with the provider, and push clean cost data back into the systems finance already uses. We start with supply chain because it is the largest and most broken of these spend categories, and we grow across the rest as our customers pull us there.

Today we work with retailers, 3PLs and distributors across Europe.

We are venture-backed, still small, and you will see the whole company from the inside.

Aufgaben

You work at the intersection of the Founder's Associate, the founder, and the tech team. Two things sit at the centre: you help build out our product from the commercial side and you support the day-to-day operations.

Because you know the processes from practice, you are the first to see where things break and what keeps repeating. That is where the next features of the platform come from.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product from the commercial side: You translate process knowledge into requirements, define edge cases, test new features, and prioritise with the team. You won't write the code, but you will shape what gets built.

  • Operations: You take on operational work in the day-to-day business and run it reliably and cleanly.

  • Collect feedback and pass it on: You actively gather feedback from customers and from daily operations, structure it, and hand it to the tech team so it turns into the next version.

  • Commercial support: You help us find the right target customers. Sharpening the ICP, researching accounts and decision makers, enriching and preparing lists, and keeping the CRM clean so the sales team can move straight into a relevant conversation.

Qualifikation

Mindset

  • You take full ownership and pride in execution

  • You want to see how processes in a startup are actually built, because you intend to build them yourself one day in your own company

  • You want to learn product development from the non-technical side, from requirement to release

  • You enjoy bringing structure to messy, open-ended problems and have an eye for when something should stop being manual

Experience

  • Ideally first experience in operations, an early-stage startup, consulting, or another high-agency environment, e.g. as an intern or working student. However, what counts most is motivation and drive

  • Comfortable with data and tools, ideally some exposure to automation (Claude, Lovable, Make, n8n, or similar) — or a strong drive to go deep on them fast

  • Fluent German is a must. Most customer and provider communication runs in German. Good English for everything internal

  • Enrolled at university, 20 hrs / week, based in Berlin

Benefits

  • Ownership of your own topics, including the operational work that comes with them

  • Close collaboration with the founder, the founder's associate, and the tech team

  • Attractive compensation

  • An environment where you see and shape how a process becomes a product. Good training if you want to build something in tech yourself one day

  1. Application review → every application is reviewed by the team

  2. Intro call → 30 minutes with the Founder's Associate

  3. Founders call → 30 minutes with the founder

  4. Offer → clear decision and fast feedback
