We enable anyone to be an investor. Our mission is to grow investing opportunities for all European customers and businesses. By empowering FinTechs, banks, and wealth managers to offer investment products, we help create financial well-being for their customers.
lemon.markets is a Brokerage-as-a-Service platform: simple digital access to capital markets through a single API. Our API-first infrastructure abstracts brokerage complexity with a well-documented API, a self-service customer operations portal, and a clear regulatory framework, so partners can launch customer-centric, compliant products in weeks, not months.
As part of the dwpbank group, weâre adding a layer of resources and expertise to benefit from, while continuing to operate as an independent fintech with our own team, product, and start-up identity under the dwpbank umbrella.
Your Mission:
As a Founderâs Associate Intern, you will support the leadership team here at lemon.markets, making sure the business grows & runs smoothly, ensuring alignment across all business areas.
You will work on a selection of diverse projects ranging from Strategy & Operations, to Business Development & Go-to-Market. These projects are hard to forecast and will highly depend on needs evolving from the phase lemon.markets is in, as well as hugely on your interests and the skill set you already bring along.
Youâll get the best of both worlds: Experience first-hand how an early-stage start-up is being built, enjoy & benefit from a fast-paced and flexible environment, while working closely with experienced experts in their field. That means you will not only support and leverage your skill set, but learn & grow by taking on projects with a high degree of ownership.
You will:
- Support the leadership team on strategic projects: Help develop business strategies & execute on them, making sure we stay aligned with our company goals & objectives.
- Further, define & develop our GTM strategy: Continuously research and analyse market trends, conduct competitor activities, and stay up to date with the changing Brokerage landscape in Europe.
- Drive various strategic initiatives to help us prepare for our growth post launch, ramping up business operations and ensuring operational excellence.
- Critically question, analyse and improve existing processes. Constantly aim to improve our existing setup, build world-class processes around it, that enable us to have a smoothly running organisation.
- You have a background in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Computer science or a similar area.
- You are an entrepreneurial problem solver. You strive to take ownership of the tasks you get and apply your analytical skills, structured thinking, and independent working style towards solving them.
- You have gained hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. You understand what working in a startup or a similar lean organisation is like. Ideally, you have worked in an early-stage startup, fintech, consulting, tech company or similar.
- You are ready and willing to take ownership. âThis is not my job!â is not part of your vocabulary - you identify problems, take initiative to take them on, and challenge the status quo.
- You cope well with frequent change and ambiguity. Changing tasks & requirements excite you. You are able to think logically, break down complex problems and prioritise between multiple tasks on your table.
- You have a hands-on mentality. You default into action, want to gather first learnings fast, and iterate on the progress along the way.
- You are a team player. Working together as a team and sharing knowledge comes naturally to you.
- You have no problem with learning new tools and skills on the go. You try to solve problems with more things than the ones you already know. We will always enable you with that, but your willingness has to come first.
- đ Compensation package: Our Interns are compensated at a fixed rate of âŹ2,425 per month.
- đ Make a real impact: Our start-up environment gives you the room to start your career, explore areas outside your role, and build expertise through ownership. As we mature and are backed by dwpbank, weâre adding a layer of resources and expertise you are benefiting from.
- đ Flexible working hours: We trust people to choose when they work best and avoid a rigid 9 to 5 mindset. You decide on the rhythm that helps you do your best work, with only shared core hours from 12:00 to 16:00 to support collaboration.
- đą Hybrid work setup: You can work from Berlin within a hybrid model. However, we strongly encourage our internship âlemoneersâ to spend at least 3 days or more per week in the office. Being on-site allows you to learn faster, provides a more immersive experience, helps you collaborate more effectively with the team, and ensures you fully benefit from hands-on support.
- đ Grow with us: We take your personal development seriously! Youâll get regular mentorship and stretch opportunities, plus a clear career development framework with frequent feedback conversations so you always know where you stand, and what to do to level up.
- đ± People & culture: Youâll feel our culture in the small things, like polaroids from our lemoneersâ first day, Friday food market strolls at Maybachufer, and our monthly new-joiner breakfast. But also in the bigger things: celebrating the onboarding of new partners, growing our teams, and owning a strong discussion culture.
- đ Workation: Get out of here! At lemon.markets you can work remotely from anywhere in the EU for up to 10 consecutive days at a time, and up to 60 days per year in total.
If you feel this role could be a great match for you even if you donât tick every box, weâd still love to hear from you, please apply.
