Key responsibilities in your new role

Are you passionate about conducting electrical measurements of silicon carbide power semiconductor devices and want to bring your MATLAB or Python programming skills to the next level? Then this working student job might be the perfect opportunity for you to gain some practical experience within the high-tech environment of a globally operating semiconductor corporation. • Take responsibility: You perform electrical measurements of silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductor devices
• Data is everything: You take care of the processing, evaluation and organization of the measurement data in our database
• Expand your horizons: You set up new measurement setups and improve existing ones
• Focus on the future: You develop and improve code - primarily in Python and MATLAB, e.g. for data analysis and measurement automation
• Work with AI: You use AI tools and agents (e.g. LLM-based coding assistants) to accelerate code development, data evaluation and troubleshooting - and help integrate AI-based methods into our measurement workflows

Your profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

• Study field: You are currently studying Electrical Engineering or similar
• Personality: You have a passion and hands-on experience for power electronics and power devices
• Skills: You have good programming skills and knowledge especially in Python and MATLAB and you are experienced in working with AI tools and agents (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot)
• Experience: Ideally, you have already gained experience in PCB design (e.g. using KiCad, Altium, or Eagle), measurement automation, and working with measurement equipment
• Language skills: You have fluent English skills, written and spoken. German is a plus

Important information:

• Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
• Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
• You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
