Your mission

We are seeking a creative, video-savvy Working Student to join our Creative and Editorial team in Berlin. This is a part-time role at ~15-20 hours per week, working directly with our Team Lead. You'll help bring short-form video and content ideas to life – from concept through filming, editing, and posting – while also supporting content scheduling, reporting, and cross-team coordination across our social channels. You'll work closely with our Creative and Editorial team as well as the wider Marketing team, with plenty of opportunity to learn hands-on from experienced social, design, and content professionals.

Key Responsibilities2. Coordination & scheduling3. Reporting

  • Content creation & ideation
  • Generate and pitch original short-form video ideas (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
  • Film and edit short-form video content, from concept to production to publish – comfortable appearing on camera when a piece of content calls for it
  • Translate product updates, industry news, and cultural/music trends into timely, engaging short-form video content
  • Contribute to creative brainstorming and execution across the wider content calendar, not just video
  • Stay on top of trends, sounds, and formats across social media and best practices generally, and help the team react quickly
  • Help plan and maintain the social content calendar
  • Schedule and publish posts using our social tools/natively per platform
  • Coordinate with other iMusician team members and external contacts (artists, partners) as needed to source content and information – comfortable reaching out and following up independently
  • Pull together basic performance reporting (views, engagement, growth) on a regular cadence
  • Flag standout content or trends worth doubling down on

Your profile

  • You must be currently enrolled in a university program in Germany (required for a working student contract)
  • Location: Based in or able to work from Berlin (one day per week in person)
  • Some experience with social content creation – personal brand, internship, freelance, or coursework – is a plus, but not required if you can show strong instincts and a portfolio
  • Languages: Fluent English is required. French is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Creative Skillset: A genuine interest in short-form video, with examples of your own content if you have them; comfortable filming and editing (phone or basic editing software); Figma or Canva experience appreciated
  • News & Culture Savvy: Naturally curious about industry news, product updates, and cultural/music trends, with an instinct for what's worth turning into content
  • Strategic Thinking: Able to connect content ideas to broader goals, not just execute – you ask "why" as much as "how"
  • Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with TikTok and Instagram essential; some knowledge of YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, or Threads is a bonus
  • Ways of Working: Organized, reliable, and confident working with people – comfortable reaching out to colleagues or external contacts to coordinate content
  • Music Passion: A strong interest in music is preferred – you should genuinely care about the space we operate in

Don't check every single box? Apply anyway! We're looking for creativity and curiosity above all – this role comes with hands-on mentorship, and we'll help you build the rest.

About Us

Who are we?

Born in Switzerland, making waves worldwide!

iMusician was founded with a rebellious spirit and a vision to change the tune of the music industry, to open doors in the music industry, giving independent artists and labels the access they deserve. We’re a diverse, international team of DIY musicians, label owners, and industry professionals. Music isn’t just what we do - it’s in our DNA, like a never-ending melody. We understand the daily grind and hustle musicians face because we’re part of that same community. Our goal? To empower DIY musicians to take control of their careers and thrive.

What we do?

We distribute music from independent artists and labels to hundreds of music platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Deezer or Beatport. At iMusician, we believe music should be more than just a passion project. Musicians deserve to be paid. That’s why we’re fighting to ensure equal access to the marketplace, helping you manage, sell, protect, and monetize your music. The more you can sustain yourself, the more you can create - and the world needs your music.

Culture & Office

Berlin is our main hub, where most of our team is based and the energy of our work comes alive. We also have a second office in Zurich, but with remote work at the heart of our culture, many of our employees are spread across the globe, working from different countries. While we embrace remote work as the future, we also know that culture and connection grow when we come together. That's why you can choose to work from a centrally located Coworking office or from your fully equipped home office most of the time. We regularly gather for team events or team office days because collaboration fuels our creativity, just like in the best jam sessions.

More reasons to work with us

  • Join a passionate, international team of music lovers and industry experts.
  • Work on meaningful projects that empower music creators.
  • Enjoy a high level of autonomy, with a coaching approach from management.
  • Regular feedback and opportunities for career growth.
  • Work-life balance: flexible hours, remote work, the option to work abroad for up to two months a year, and unpaid leave on top of your regular holidays.
  • Regular Team events, lunches, and after-work beers in Berlin.

We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all and fostering an inclusive, diverse workplace. We celebrate diversity in all its forms and believe that different perspectives enrich our community. We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, regardless of age, ethnicity, national origin, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
