Key responsibilities:
- ESG Strategy Support – Supports the Sustainability Analyst in implementing IFCO’s ESG strategy and advancing key sustainability initiatives across the organization.
- ESG Reporting & Data Management – Assists in preparing ESG reporting materials by maintaining accurate data inputs, updating dashboards, and ensuring reliable documentation.
- Data Collection & Validation – Collects, structures, and validates environmental, social, and governance data in line with internal standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Analytics & Insights – Contributes data analysis, benchmarking, and the creation of clear reports, presentations, and summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Tools & Process Optimization – Maintains and enhances ESG tracking tools, templates, and documentation to continuously improve efficiency, transparency, and data integrity.
- Sustainability Research – Conducts research on industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices to support informed decision-making and innovation.
- Stakeholder Coordination – Supports cross-functional collaboration by coordinating data requests, tracking progress, and following up on outstanding inputs.
- Performance & Delivery – Ensures ESG-related tasks are delivered accurately, on time, and to a high standard, contributing to reliable reporting and continuous improvement of sustainability processes.
- Educational Background – Enrolled student in sustainability management, environmental sciences, business administration, engineering, data analytics, or a related field, with a strong academic interest in ESG and corporate responsibility.
- First Experience & ESG Interest – Initial hands-on experience or academic exposure to sustainability, ESG reporting, environmental data, or related topics through internships, projects, or research.
- Data & Analytical Skills – Confident and comfortable working with data above all, with a natural analytical mindset and a strong affinity for numbers; able to interpret data and communicate it clearly to different audiences, with familiarity in tools such as Power BI or Python as a plus.
- ESG Knowledge – Basic understanding of ESG principles and frameworks such as GRI, GHG Protocol, LCA or sustainability ratings is advantageous.
- Structured & Detail-Oriented Working Style – High attention to detail combined with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
- Communication & Language Skills – Clear and effective communicator with very good English skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively in international and cross-functional teams.
- Curiosity & Ownership – Proactive, solution-oriented and eager to learn, with the ability to think critically and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
- Flexibility & Team Spirit – Reliable and hands-on team player who can work independently and adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
