Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure investments? If so, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is the right place for you! We are currently looking for an Intern to join the Investment Team of the Energy Transition Fund in Hamburg from January 2027.

Team
The Energy Transition Fund targets high-yield investments and includes advanced financial debt structuring, complex feedstock contracting and offtake structuring. You will work closely together with a highly experienced investment team in a vibrant international environment. CIP will constantly seek to motivate and inspire you, while focusing on your learning and personal development.

Role
You will contribute to the development, structuring and carrying out of CIP’s infrastructure investments globally with a focus on investments in Power-to-X facilities which produce carbon-neutral green hydrogen and ammonia.

Further responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to:

  • Financial modelling, valuation and structuring of investments
  • Market analysis and due diligence of new investment opportunities
  • Visualization and presentation of technical and financial data to stakeholders
  • Working together with industrial partners and advisors

The internship position is 6 months, full-time and is based in CIP’s office at Kaiser-Wilhelm-Straße 14, Hamburg. We are looking for interns to start in January 2027. The workload will vary depending on the number of projects you are working on with flexibility expected from both sides.

You
CIP is in a thriving period of growth where your skills and experience are sought after. The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in bachelor’s or master's program in Business, Economics, or any other relevant field.

  • Previous internship experience in consulting, corporate finance, strategy or M&A

  • Advanced written and spoken English skills
  • Thriving with responsibility and displaying attention to detail
  • Curious and creative mindset
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, at the same time enjoying teamwork and engaging with colleagues at all levels of seniority
  • Experience in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is beneficial

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
