Since 1998, business@school has been educational initiative. Our mission is to equip high school students with practical business knowledge, essential skills for their future careers, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Each year, around 1,000 students from approximately 70 schools across Germany, Austria, Italy, the United Kingdom, Albania, and Switzerland take part in the program. They are supported throughout the school year by their teachers and around 450 volunteer coaches from BCG and more than 20 partner companies.
What You'll Do
As a Working Student, you’'ll support business@school team in maintaining and our digital ecosystem, including our website, database, and digital tools. You’'ll help optimize existing processes, contribute to the continuous improvement of our TYPO3-based website, and support in maintaining and developing our database and interfaces. You’'ll also help create and update website content, aid in enhancing the website’s front end, explore AI-powered tools available at BCG to improve digital workflows, work closely with our external IT partners, and support the team in its day-to-day work.
What You'll Bring
- You are a bachelor’s or master's student (with at least two years of study remaining after your start date at BCG and no mandatory internships planned in the near future).
- You are studying computer science, business informatics, information systems, media informatics, or a related field.
- You have an interest in web technologies, databases, content management systems, and digital tools.
- Ideally, you have initial experience with TYPO3, SQL, APIs, Git, VBA, or similar technologies.
- You enjoy learning new systems and are motivated to understand how they work.
- You are curious about AI-powered tools available at BCG and enjoy exploring how they can improve digital workflows.
- You are confident using MS Office applications.
- You communicate confidently in German and English, both verbally and in writing.
- You enjoy understanding how digital systems work and are motivated to continuously improve them.
- You are curious, enjoy learning new technologies, and aren’'t afraid to work your way into complex topics.
- You combine analytical thinking with a hands-on mindset and find practical solutions independently.
- You have a structured, detail-oriented way of working and enjoy solving technical challenges.
- You like combining technical tasks with creative work, such as maintaining websites, updating digital content, or editing short videos.
- You communicate confidently and enjoy working collaboratively with different stakeholders.
You will be part of the business@school team, working closely with colleagues in our Munich office. In your day-to-day work, you'll collaborate with team members across a wide range of digital projects and work closely with our external IT partners to continuously improve our website, database, and digital tools. Dank des Werkstudentenprivilegs zahlst du keine Beiträge zur Kranken-, Pflege- und Arbeitslosenversicherung — nur die Rentenversicherung greift. Dir bleibt mehr netto als in einem regulären Job.
Versicherung prüfenInternationale Studierende
Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
