About Allego

Allego is one of Europe's leading providers of fast and ultra-fast EV charging infrastructure. Our mission is to accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility by building a reliable, high-performance charging network where drivers need it most.

Germany is one of Allego's key markets, with more than 400 operational ultra-fast charging sites and an ambitious pipeline of further expansion. From our office in Berlin, you will contribute directly to the development of one of Europe's largest public charging networks and support the deployment of the next generation of EV charging infrastructure.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Network Development Germany and working closely with Allego's European teams to support the expansion of Allego's charging network across Germany. Through continuous data analysis, location assessments and business case development, you will contribute to real investment decisions in ultra-fast charging locations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and evaluating new development opportunities;
  • Analysing network coverage and helping identify opportunity gaps to improve the quality and density of the charging network;
  • Supporting the preparation of responses to public and private tenders;
  • Contributing to the technical, commercial and financial modelling of new charging projects;
  • Supporting strategic investment decisions through data analysis and business cases;
  • Supporting in the development of dashboards and KPIs to monitor network development and performance;
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of Allego's products and development processes.

Job Requirements

Profile

We are looking for a highly motivated final-year student who enjoys combining analytical thinking with practical problem solving.

Preferred Educational Background

  • Final-year Bachelor's or Master's student in Engineering, Business, Economics or a related field.
  • Previous internship, working student or project experience is considered an advantage.
  • Strong academic performance; candidates from top-ranked technical and business universities are particularly encouraged to apply.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is analytical, structured and detail-oriented;
  • Enjoys solving complex problems using data;
  • Is proactive, curious and eager to take ownership;
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-growing international environment;
  • Can communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders;
  • Works independently while collaborating efficiently within multidisciplinary teams;
  • Has excellent Excel skills; experience with Power BI, SQL or data analysis tools is considered an advantage;
  • Has excellent English and German communication skills.

The position is based in Berlin, with occasional travel within Germany.

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Operations in Berlin für dich bedeutet: die Vergütungsregeln, die Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
