Your Mission

At Stryker, you will help develop innovative software solutions that contribute to making healthcare better. As part of our Research & Development team, you will work on cloud-based applications, automation projects, and modern software technologies while gaining practical experience in a global MedTech environment. This internship offers the opportunity to build technical expertise, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to projects that have a real-world impact on healthcare innovation.

What You'll Do

  • Build and contribute to cloud-native software applications and developer tooling.
  • Explore modern technologies across artificial intelligence, AI agents, mobile development, and cloud platforms.
  • Automate development workflows to make software and product development faster, simpler, and more reliable.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and modern DevSecOps practices.
  • Turn ideas into prototypes and help evaluate emerging technologies and new concepts.
  • Collaborate internationally with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams while gaining hands-on experience in real-world R&D projects.

What You'll Bring

  • You’re currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • You have basic programming experience with one or more languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, .NET, or Node.js.
  • You understand the fundamentals of modern software engineering and are eager to put them into practice.
  • You’re interested in cloud technologies, AI, automation, and modern software development.
  • You have a basic understanding of concepts such as cloud applications, microservices, and AI agents.
  • You’re comfortable communicating in English (B2 level or above).

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
