We are looking for one intern to join our Investment Team in Munich from September 2026 onwards (ideally until end of the year, exact start and end date to be agreed).
The Role
As an Investment Intern, you join our Investment Team in Munich and work alongside Investment Managers, Principals and Partners on live deals and strategic projects from day one. You will get full exposure to the private equity process – from proactive sourcing and target identification through due diligence, valuation, transaction execution and post-deal value creation. Your work feeds directly into Investment Committee decisions and shapes conversations with founders, management teams and M&A advisors.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research, evaluation and analysis of potential targets across financial, commercial, strategic and competitive dimensions
- Build trading- and transaction-multiple peer groups and identify benchmark transactions
- Develop financial models, including LBO, integrated three-statement, DCF and merger models
- Support buyside due diligence by aggregating, structuring and preparing information from advisors and target management
- Research strategic rationales and value-creation levers for majority acquisitions in the technology sector
- Prepare Investment Committee presentations, investment teasers, one-pagers and internal decision documents
- Maintain and proactively develop the M&A deal pipeline
- Draft and review NDAs and participate in management calls and meetings with potential targets and M&A advisors
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s (advanced stage of studies) or Master’s student in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering or a comparable degree, ideally at a top-tier university
- Prior internship experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, Transaction Advisory, Investment Banking or Private Equity
- Strong command of accounting and corporate finance fundamentals, with hands-on financial modeling experience in Excel and confident command of PowerPoint
- Genuine interest in software, IT services and DeepTech business models
- Analytical mindset, structured working style and the ability to deliver high-quality output under tight timelines
- High intrinsic motivation, self-starter mentality and openness to new topics
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to relocate to Munich for the duration of the internship
What We Offer
- Full deal exposure: you work on live transactions from sourcing through closing – not on the sidelines
- Direct collaboration with senior investment professionals, our operational team and the entrepreneurial families behind PRIMEPULSE
- Steep learning curve in private equity, M&A and the broader European tech ecosystem
- A state-of-the-art AI environment: AI is already deeply integrated into our investment process and we work with the latest frontier tools on a daily basis – you will benefit from this stack from day one and actively help shape how we apply AI across sourcing, diligence and portfolio work
- Insight into a diversified portfolio of leading B2B IT, software and DeepTech businesses
- Modern offices in central Munich, a collegial team culture and competitive compensation
Application
Please send your CV and current transcript of records to team.m-a(at)primepulse.de. We look forward to hearing from you.
About PRIMEPULSE
PRIMEPULSE SE is a Munich-based, entrepreneur-led investment firm with approximately EUR 1 billion in assets under management. We were founded by Klaus & Regina Weinmann and Stefan Kober – the entrepreneurs behind CANCOM SE (IPO 1999, TecDAX, ca. EUR 1.7 billion revenue) – and invest our own balance-sheet capital in B2B software, IT services and DeepTech companies across the DACH region and the United States.
Unlike traditional private equity funds, we operate with permanent capital. No fund statutes, no fixed holding periods, which gives us maximum flexibility on structure, timing and deal terms. Our roughly 25-person team combines investment professionals with a dedicated operations group (Finance, Tax, Legal, IT/Cybersecurity, Operations) that works hand-in-hand with portfolio companies to drive value. Selected current portfolio companies include CANCOM, CENIT, kgs, SAMHAMMER, SOLVision & iTSMgroup, and NEURA Robotics. We have completed 15+ successful exits, among them IPOs and trade sales to leading strategic and financial buyers.
