Our Corporate Public Affairs team is at the heart of PHOENIX's engagement with policymakers, regulators, healthcare associations and industry stakeholders across Europe. As an intern, you will gain first-hand insight into how one of Europe's leading healthcare companies shapes healthcare and pharmaceutical policy developments.
Join us for a 6‑month internship supporting the Corporate Public Affairs team at PHOENIX headquarters in Mannheim.
Your Tasks
- Contribute to ongoing Public Affairs and cross‑departmental Corporate projects
- Support advocacy coordination across PHOENIX countries
- Support the Corporate Public Affairs team in daily operations
- Support the preparation of meetings and engagement activities with policymakers, trade associations and other external stakeholders
- Analyze legislative and regulatory developments at EU and national level and prepare concise policy briefings for senior management
- Support the development of advocacy materials and presentations
Your Profile
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Political Science, Public Affairs, Public Policy, European Studies, Law, Healthcare Management, Economics, Pharmaceutical Studies, or a related field
- Previous experience in public affairs, political institutions, consultancies, or trade associations (considered a strong asset)
- Business-level proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds
- Strong research skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with large amounts of information and transforming it into concise summaries
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, particularly PowerPoint and Copilot
- Good organizational and project management skills
- Experience using social media in a professional or business context (considered a strong asset)

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
