Job Purpose
As a working student in Communications, Events & Operations Support at the Kuehne Climate Center (KCC), a key focus during the first months of the role will be supporting preparations and communications for the Hamburg Sustainability Conference taking place on June 29–30, including participant coordination, invitations, communication materials, and event support. You will support the day-to-day communications, event coordination, and operational activities that keep our international team running smoothly. This role combines content creation with structured administrative and coordination tasks, making it ideal for someone with a communications background who also has strong attention to detail and enjoys ensuring that projects, materials, and processes are clean, accurate, and effective. This position is initially offered for a fixed term of six months, with the possibility of extension.
What You Will Do
The KCC is a subsidiary of the Kühne Foundation. Our mission is to accelerate climate-compatible development within logistics (Climate Action in Logistics) and through logistics systems (Logistics for Climate Action). We do this through applied research & thought leadership, project & advisory work, and training & capacity building, with a focus on countries of the Global South.
We are a growing international team. This role offers first hands-on experience in a mission-driven organization working at the intersection of logistics and climate. KCC’s headquarters is located in Hamburg’s vibrant Hafencity. From here, we manage and support all our international projects, actively partnering with our regional teams and with institutions from around the globe.
