Imagine being part of a team that’s redefining the future of mobility—where your ideas don’t just sit in a lab but power next-generation technology. At indie, we are developing cutting-edge semiconductors, photonics, and radar sensors and systems for automotive, industrial, and adjacent markets. Our innovations are at the heart of advanced intelligent sensing and user experience applications, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

If you're passionate about groundbreaking technology and want to make a real impact alongside a fast-paced team that thrives on creativity and collaboration, we’d love to have you on board!

We are looking for a motivated working student (m/f/d) to join our Radar Systems team. In this role, you will work in our RF and mixed-signal laboratories, supporting the development and characterization of mmWave ICs and systems.

Your responsibilities will include setting up and conducting PCB-level measurement campaigns, operating measurement equipment across a wide frequency range (from DC to GHz), and assisting in the automation of test setups and devices. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to the evaluation and characterization of mmWave components, MMICs, and radar systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative RFIC technologies in a fast-growing environment with flat hierarchies, where your contributions will have a direct impact on the success of the automotive radar team and indie Semiconductor as a whole.

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks in RF, wafer prober, and mixed-signal laboratories
  • Support the setup and execution of measurement campaigns for mmWave ICs and PCBs
  • Assist in the automation of measurement setups and evaluation scripts
  • Contribute to smaller measurement campaigns and data analysis
  • Participate in automated unit testing (SIL and HIL)

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and measurement techniques
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
  • Programming skills in Python and/or MATLAB
  • Experience with soldering, 3D printing, or PCB design is a plus
  • Experience in commissioning PCBs and technical systems is a plus
  • Good command of English
