In 2019, BWI Marshall Airport served approximately 27 million passengers for the second consecutive year with nonstop service to nearly 90 domestic and international destinations. BWI Marshall Airport is a major economic development and transportation resource for the State of Maryland and the entire National Capital region. In January 2018, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan announced a new economic impact report which revealed that BWI Marshall Airport produces a total economic impact of $9.3 billion. The airport and visitors generate and support more than 106,000 jobs throughout the region.
