Who We Are…
When we say, “the stuff dreams are made of,” we’re not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth. Behind WBD’s vast portfolio of iconic content and beloved brands, are the storytellers bringing our characters to life, the creators bringing them to your living rooms and the dreamers creating what’s next…
From brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves. Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.
Rights and Deal Management:
- Creating und updating Deal Memos (missing info, date changes, language and territory restrictions, replacement titles etc.): This is our internal document that includes all rights information for every deal. It is sent to the Rights Admin team so they can update our rights database iBroadcast.
- Updating local stocklist: A document I created for all acquisitions for the German-speaking market. Serves as a source of information for many different teams (Rights Admin, Ops, PR, Compliance, Planning, Merchandizing) for info not held in iBroadcast and quick content analysis. Always needs to reflect the basic rights for all titles and additional info like language rights.
- Updating internal deal trackers (local deal tracker and airtable, opportunities overview): We track the status or our deals in different list, so we don’t miss any opportunities and have records for closed deals and titles we passed on.
- Answering internal rights questions
External Communication:
- Communication with licensors on missing title information (language rights, EU works, product placement etc.) after deal is closed
- Handling simple inquiries like start date changes, fee updates, contact persons etc. directly with licensors and local teams
- Taking over minor licensors as acquisition lead
- Helping partners when it comes to issues with invoices, Amazon listings etc.
Negotiation and Editorial Support:
- Title selections for library deals and relicenses based on performance data
- Creating offers
- Creating support documents (budget updates, rationale, amortization numbers) for internal approvals
- Content evaluation: Screening content and reading scripts and treatments
Other:
- Backoffice tasks (meeting organization, markets etc.)
