Your Mission

Are you eager to gain hands-on experience in the research and development of innovative medical technologies and contribute to solutions that improve healthcare? In this MedTech internship, you will support our Computer-Assisted Surgery Test Laboratory in verifying, validating, and optimizing new products. You will work with modern technologies, analyze technical data, and gain insight into the product development process of a global medical technology company. Along the way, you will take ownership of your own projects, build valuable technical skills, and establish a strong foundation for your future career in medical technology.

What You Will Do

  • Support the planning, execution, and documentation of development-related tests and experiments
  • Analyze and evaluate measurement data to support engineering and development decisions
  • Contribute to the creation and optimization of test setups
  • Support the continuous improvement of testing strategies and procedures
  • Collaborate with international teams on innovative projects in the field of computer-assisted surgery

What You'll Bring

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Initial experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar programming languages
  • Ideally basic knowledge of CAD design, ideally using Creo Parametric
  • Interest in research, product development, testing methodologies, and technical analysis
  • Good German skills (B1) and good English skills (B2)

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
