Your role

As an Investment Intern, you will support the team throughout the investment process. You will research sectors and companies, assess opportunities, contribute to investment materials and help with portfolio-related work. The role is designed for someone who wants to understand how a specialised European investment platform evaluates and supports mission-critical technology businesses.

What you will do

• Research European markets, companies and technologies across resilience, defence, aerospace, security and other dual-use sectors.
• Support deal sourcing, screen new opportunities and maintain structured pipeline information.
• Analyse business models, competitive positioning, market dynamics and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Build and update financial models, valuation analyses and company benchmarks.
• Help prepare investment memoranda, presentations and due diligence materials.
• Support transaction work by organising information, tracking open questions and coordinating follow-ups.
• Contribute to portfolio-related projects and research new investment themes.

Your profile

• You are currently pursuing a degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, computer science, natural sciences or a comparable field.
• Initial experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, a start-up or another relevant environment is helpful but not required.
• You think analytically, work in a structured manner and are confident using Excel and PowerPoint.
• You have a strong interest in resilience, defence, aerospace, security or dual-use technologies.
• You take ownership, pay attention to detail and communicate clearly in a fast-moving team.
• You communicate fluently in English. German or another European language is an advantage.
• You are available full-time and on site in Frankfurt for three months starting in January 2027.
