To start as soon as possible, part time, fixed term

We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Working Student to join our Engineering Department. In this role, you will support the development of digital and data-driven solutions, including AI-powered tools, data engineering, analytics, and process optimisation initiatives. You will contribute to building and maintaining scalable data solutions, developing automation tools, and leveraging modern data technologies to improve engineering workflows, data accessibility, and knowledge management.

This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in a diverse and innovative environment at the intersection of engineering, data, analytics, and digital transformation.

About The Role

  • Support the digitalisation and automation of engineering and business processes using Python, SQL, and modern data technologies.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and optimisation of data pipelines and workflows.
  • Develop and enhance tools, methods, and analytical solutions to improve efficiency and data utilisation.
  • Structure, transform, analyse, and visualise engineering and operational data.
  • Support the integration of AI and machine learning solutions into engineering workflows.
  • Gain hands-on experience with Databricks and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and actionable insights.
  • Assist with technical documentation, reports, dashboards, and presentations.

Job Requirements And Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • First practical experience through internships, student work, academic projects, or similar roles in a relevant field.
  • Strong interest in AI, data engineering, analytics, automation, and digital transformation.
  • Experience with or exposure to:
    • Python for data processing, automation, or analytics.
    • SQL for querying, transforming, and managing data.
    • Databricks, or similar big data platforms.
    • Git and version control best practices.
    • Data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a structured, proactive working style.
  • Good written and spoken English skills.

Advantageous, But Not Essential

  • Experience with machine learning or AI tools is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and cloud-based data solutions.

Dank des Werkstudentenprivilegs zahlst du keine Beiträge zur Kranken-, Pflege- und Arbeitslosenversicherung — nur die Rentenversicherung greift. Dir bleibt mehr netto als in einem regulären Job.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
