About the role

Merloop is a B2B software start-up in the sustainability and compliance space. We are looking for a working student to join us from October 2026 and help build up our sales and business development function from the ground up.

Your responsibilities

  • Research and qualify potential B2B customers and build up our lead pipeline in HubSpot.
  • Support outbound outreach via email, LinkedIn and phone, including preparing and following up on initial calls and product demos.
  • Keep CRM data clean and up to date, and track pipeline activity and conversion.
  • Prepare proposals, pitch materials and presentations for prospective customers and partners.
  • Support the preparation of trade fairs, conferences and other business development events.
  • Monitor market and competitor developments and summarise the findings for the team.
  • Help build up and manage a partner and referral network.

What you bring

  • You are currently enrolled in a master's programme at a university – e.g. business administration, industrial engineering, marketing, business informatics or a comparable field – and expect to have at least two semesters ahead of you.
  • You speak German at a native or business-fluent level (C1+) and communicate confidently in English.
  • You enjoy reaching out to people and can explain complex topics clearly and simply.
  • You work independently and in a structured way, and you keep an overview in a fast-changing environment.
  • Initial experience in B2B sales, with CRM systems (ideally HubSpot) or in a start-up is a plus, but not a requirement.

What we offer

  • Real responsibility from day one: you help build the sales function of a start-up rather than just supporting it.
  • Direct collaboration with the founder and a small, interdisciplinary team.
  • Hands-on experience across the full B2B sales cycle, from lead generation to closing.
  • Flexible working hours that fit around your timetable, and hybrid work in the Stuttgart region.
  • The option to write your thesis with us.

Key facts

  • Start: October 2026
  • Hours: 15–20 per week (more during semester breaks if you like)
  • Duration: at least 6 months, ideally longer
  • Location: Stuttgart region, hybrid

How to apply

Send your CV and a few sentences on why this role interests you to [email protected]. No formal cover letter needed. Please include your current degree programme, university and expected graduation date.

We look forward to hearing from you!
