Tasks
The tasks of the purchasing department include the strategic development and performance management of Group-wide purchasing. This includes the development and implementation of procurement strategies and the management of purchasing clusters based on defined key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Gain practical experience in designing and implementing training and development initiatives for the purchasing organization
- Support onboarding and knowledge transfer programs to strengthen learning and development across procurement
- Contribute to internal procurement communication campaigns, events, and procurement-related topics
- Assist in the development and implementation of the sustainability purchasing strategy
- Support the further development of the Lufthansa Group purchasing strategy and optimization of the annual category strategy process
- Participating in initiatives to enhance negotiation excellence and develop best practices within the negotiation excellence function

Requirements
You are enrolled for the entire period of the internship (current certificate of enrollment and a written proof of compulsory internship must be enclosed with the application) or are completing a Gap Year between Bachelor's and Master's studies
- Analytical mindset and strong strategic thinking skills
- Confident use of MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, ideally complemented by experience in presentation creation
- Fast comprehension and adaptability when approaching new topics and tasks
- Strong team spirit paired with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent command of German and English, both written and spoken

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Wochenstunden
Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.
Werkstudenten-RegelnSozialabgaben
Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
Versicherung prüfenInternationale Studierende
Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
