The Role

Do you enjoy working with numbers and want to gain hands-on experience in accounting? Then join our Accounting team as a Working Student.

You’ll join Lucanet’s finance team at a crucial moment: a high-growth SaaS organisation in the middle of a major transformation, building scalable accounting processes from the ground up across multiple countries and systems, including Spendesk and Business Central. As a Working Student, you’ll support the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) function and broader accounting operations, gaining hands-on exposure to how a modern, international finance team actually works. Along the way, you’ll build foundational accounting knowledge across multiple departments and jurisdictions, working alongside a collaborative accounting team of around 11 people.

This is a great opportunity if you are studying finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a similar field and want to gain practical experience in an international finance team.

The role is for 20 hours per week and can be done remotely. Being based in Berlin would be a plus, but it is not required. Working hours can be flexible around your university schedule and exam periods. Start date as soon as possible.

What you'll do

  • Support the Accounting team with daily operational accounting tasks.
  • Help process and book incoming invoices, including hotel and travel-related invoices.
  • Support with travel expenses, expense claims, and employee reimbursements.
  • Work with tools such as Spendesk and Business Central — training will be provided.
  • Assist with administrative accounting tasks and smaller finance projects.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and support them where needed.
  • Learn how accounting processes work in practice within an international software company.

What you bring to the table

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Completion of introductory accounting or finance coursework, with an interest in gaining practical experience.
  • Strong affinity for working with numbers and a detail-oriented approach.Well-organized, reliable, and eager to learn.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.Fluency in English; German is considered an advantage but is not required.
  • Previous exposure to accounting tools such as Business Central, Spendesk, or similar systems is beneficial, but not mandatory.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the legal right to work in the country of employment.
