Location: Berlin

Type: Internship

Duration: 4-6 months

-------------------------------

We are looking for a motivated Test Engineer Intern to support a client project focused on ADAS/autonomous driving functional testing across Europe. This role is designed for candidates early in their career: we provide structured training on tools, processes, and field test procedures before deploying you to on-site client projects.

-------------------------------

Your Responsibilities

  • Execute functional testing for ADAS/autonomous driving systems across Europe
  • Assist with configuration, calibration, and troubleshooting of vehicle sensor hardware (LiDAR, Camera, Radar)
  • Perform testing and provide feedback on software stability during on-road and on-site test campaigns
  • Support processing, validation, and quality checks of test results
  • Assist with hardware-in-vehicle integration and verification of vehicle-side sensor systems
  • Support system-level and vehicle-level test planning, execution, and documentation
  • Accurately report and help track issues identified during the test verification process
  • Coordinate test resources, routes, and on-site logistics under guidance of senior engineers
  • Follow European public road-testing protocols and safety standards during test drives

-------------------------------

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree (or final-year student) in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of ADAS/autonomous driving system architecture and functions, or strong interest in the field
  • Experience with, or willingness to quickly learn, Linux-based systems
  • Willing to travel frequently within Europe, including Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Moldova, etc.)
  • Good communication skills in English (required) and Chinese (not strictly required but a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail
  • Safe, confident driving ability with good road-safety awareness; comfortable adapting to European road conditions and cross-border testing

-------------------------------

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with automotive engineering concepts, CAD tools, or network protocols
  • Programming experience in C/C++, Python, or MATLAB
  • Familiarity with CANoe/CANape or similar automotive test tools
  • Basic understanding of sensor fusion, target tracking, or trajectory planning concepts
  • Valid EU driving license (Class B), or in progress
  • Prior test coordination, fieldwork, or vehicle testing experience

-------------------------------

What We Offer

  • Hands-on training in ADAS/autonomous driving test methodology, tools (e.g. CANoe/CANape), and sensor hardware before project deployment
  • Direct involvement in a real client project across multiple European countries
  • Mentorship and guidance from experienced validation engineers
