Your role

We are looking for a Menu Planning working student for 12 months at the heart of our Product team, where you will be responsible for supporting our operational and strategic needs for our physical product: meal kits. You will be central to our activity and will have a significant influence on our customers' meals.

We are looking for someone capable of assisting us in the operational planning of recipes at HelloFresh. This is a unique opportunity to learn and gain experience within a fast-growing company that is pioneering the food industry.

Your area of responsibility

  • Menu creation and optimization: Assist the team in creating and optimizing menus using our python-based menu-planning algorithm.
  • Product Improvement: You will work on several projects and initiatives that focus on improving our product offering aiming to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Menu De-Risking: You will lead a number of cross-collaborative initiatives and processes aiming to reduce the menu risk and to ensure ingredient availability by considering the end-to-end value chain of our product. 
  • Operations support: You support the team in day-to-day operations as well as with administrative and organizational tasks along the supply and menu planning process and have the opportunity to solve concrete problems, make decisions, and learn to manage real-world situations in a dynamic environment.
  • Process management: You will participate in projects aimed at optimizing and automating and improving our product processes and supply chain by working with other teams.
  • Reporting: You will track the weekly performance of menus and recipes, and conduct analyses on their monthly/quarterly performance.
  • Recipe change management in menus: You will select alternative recipes when needed (ingredient shortage, marketing need, etc.).
  • Recipe & Ingredient Pool management: You will contribute to the maintenance of the recipe and ingredient database in alignment with the culinary teams.
  • Customization: You will support the expansion of our product offering by uploading and managing customized menu options to provide customers with greater choice.

Your profile

  • You are completing a degree from a top business administration/management or engineering school.
  • Initial experience in product management or supply planning, CPG and E-Commerce experience is a plus.
  • Excellent command of Excel; knowledge of SQL and Python is a real plus.
  • A hands-on mindset and team spirit, which is very important as you will be working with many different people and teams.
  • Fluency in English, German is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, rigor, and great attention to detail.
  • A proactive and ambitious mindset, with a desire to be part of a particularly dynamic business.
  • Enthusiasm for the world of food and an interest in data are real assets for this job.
