Risk Analytics Intern – Winter 2026/27

Build practical experience in financial risk management with a leading global asset management firm.

We’re looking for a Risk Analytics Intern to join an experienced team in Berlin, supporting work across market, liquidity, counterparty, financial and enterprise risk. You’ll apply your analytical and technical skills to real projects, gaining exposure to risk modelling, data analysis and investment portfolio monitoring.

Key eligibility criteria

• University enrolment: You must be enrolled at university on a Master’s programme for the entire duration of the internship.
• Subject: You must be studying economics, quantitative finance, mathematics or a closely related discipline.
• Availability: You must be available to start in early December 2026 and commit to the full 3–4 months.
• English: Advanced written and spoken English is required.
• German: German language skills are beneficial but not required.

What you’ll be doing

• Support the analysis of market, liquidity, counterparty and financial risks, including assessing material risks and relevant controls.
• Monitor risk exposures and key metrics, contributing to the development of risk measurement methodologies.
• Assist with risk model development, documentation and data analysis.
• Support risk decision-making, approval processes and counterparty risk assessments.
• Prepare accurate, timely risk reports and presentations covering investment portfolios.
• Contribute to local and global projects within the Risk Management team.

Skills you’ll bring

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience using tools such as Python or SQL.
• Understanding of financial instruments, including equities, fixed income and derivatives.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
