Bachelor’s/Master’s Thesis: Standardization of Web Inspection Systems
Your Responsibilities
As part of your thesis project, you will analyze and develop concepts for the future standardization of web inspection systems used in our production facilities and slitting machines. Your tasks will include:
- Conducting a gap analysis of existing web inspection systems across production lines and slitting machines
- Analyzing and comparing currently deployed systems, settings, and defect classification specifications
- Evaluating technical equipment, system performance, and long-term suitability
- Developing a standardization concept for hardware, software, and quality criteria
- Creating a maintenance, support, and spare parts strategy to ensure reliable long-term operation
- Assessing modern machine vision and AI-based solutions for enhanced quality monitoring and defect detection
Your Profile
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Packaging Technology, or a related field
- Strong interest in industrial technology, machine vision, quality management, and digitalization
- Analytical mindset and a structured approach to problem-solving
- Self-motivated with a collaborative and interdisciplinary working style
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Proficiency in both German and English
