THE ROLE
As an intern in the CMF (Color, Material, Finish) & Graphic Design Team, you will work on the visual identity of our bikes and products. You will support us from initial creative drafts all the way through to implementation.
YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW
- Digital Design & Rendering: You assist in creating high-quality graphic concepts, color palettes, and surface designs for bicycles and components.
- AI-Driven Innovation: You apply state-of-the-art AI tools to accelerate design processes, visualize creative concepts, and streamline workflows.
- CMF & Library Management: You maintain, organize, and expand our CMF (Color, Material, Finish) library, managing physical samples, color codes, and digital textures.
- Administrative & Project Support: You ensure smooth operations by managing design specifications, organizing data, and preparing high-impact presentations.
How You Become Part Of The Race
- Software Skillset: Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Illustrator and Photoshop).
- Affinity for Rendering & AI: Proficiency in common rendering software (e.g., KeyShot or similar) and comfortable using current AI tools.
- Passion for Bikes & Outdoor: You live and breathe cycling, know the trends in the sports and outdoor industry, and have a keen sense for aesthetics.
- Structured Working Style: Beyond your creative mindset, you are organized, thorough, and comfortable handling administrative tasks independently.
- Team Spirit & Communication: You enjoy collaborating within a team and speak good German and/or English.

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende
Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Design in Coblenz für dich bedeutet: die Vergütungsregeln, die Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.
Wochenstunden
Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.
Werkstudenten-RegelnSozialabgaben
Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
Versicherung prüfenInternationale Studierende
Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
