ROLE
VIA equity is looking for a curious and ambitious individual to join our investment team as a student analyst. For the right individual we offer a unique opportunity to work with financial, operational, and strategic topics in a professional environment.
As a student analyst (Werkstudent/in) you will be an integrated part of VIA’s investment team and assist with tasks that among others will include general screening, research, presentations, financial analysis, and administration.
In particular, your responsibilities will include:
- Screening and evaluation of (proprietary) investment opportunities (researching, analyzing and establishing initial contacts)
- Market and industry research
- Assisting in preparation of financial valuation models and presentations of investment cases
- Assisting on specific development projects within portfolio companies
- Ad hoc tasks and certain recurring weekly administrative tasks
The role is based on-site in Munich and requires approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility around exam periods.
PROFILE
Relevant candidates are passionate, motivated, analytical, and have an interest in learning more about capital markets, M&A transactions, and in particular private equity.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate has the ability to work independently as well as in diverse teams and appreciates an informal working environment. Working language is German and English hence having business level proficiency skills verbally and in writing in both languages is mandatory.
Candidates are preferably beyond the fourth semester of their Bachelor's degree or at the beginning of a relevant Master’s degree (finance, accounting, management studies, business engineering).

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
