Position

The candidate will be part of the investment team in Düsseldorf/Germany with the opportunity to engage in the full lifecycle of private equity transactions and take an active role in such deals and sector work. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for and/or supports the investment professionals in origination and execution of investment opportunities, as well as value creation and exits with the existing portfolio.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include, among others, the following: Conducting industry and market analysis to support origination effortsUndertaking analysis of new investment opportunities (including analysis of company financials, markets, competition and strategy)Proactively supporting the investment professionals on transactions (including due diligence and preparation of investment papers)Preparation of financial models and company valuationPresentation of findings to the deal team and partnership.

What We Look For

We are looking for interesting and ambitious individuals with an outstanding academic track record, who have already gained first practical experiences in relevant internships. You should be an absolute team player, possess strong analytical and commercial skills, have a self-starting mentality and be great fun to work with. Strong communicative skills as well as a positive attitude and a can-do mentality are also important criteria.

Language Skills

German and English fluent required.

Duration

For a minimum of 3 months starting October, option for an extension at Avedon or in one of our portfolio companies.

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
