Beschreibung bereitgestellt von Arbor Capital Partners LLP
Arbor Capital is a Buy-and-Build private equity fund founded by two large-cap PE investors (ex-Bain Capital, Blackstone, SVP, 3i, and TowerBrook). We focus on Buy-and-Build platform investments in B2B and high-value manufacturing industries in DACH and the UK. Our differentiation is operational: we drive hands-on operational improvement and partner with SMEs and founders to build durable, market-leading businesses.
Our first platform, Neuplaner, an audit, tax and accounting roll-up, has raised €100M from leading institutional investors and acquires 7–10 firms p.a. We are now building three additional platforms, which we intend to bring to market over the coming period.
This is a full-time role with a clear destination. The internship is the gateway; strong performers convert to a permanent Analyst role. If you are looking to build a career in private equity, not to sample it, this is for you.
You will work across the full investment lifecycle, at both fund and platform level, alongside partners with 15–20+ years of large-cap deal experience — with real ownership from day one.
Core areas of focus:
- Sector research: bottom-up screening to identify attractive sectors and sub-sectors across Europe
- Origination: active monitoring of sectors, target identification, outreach
- Due diligence: financial, commercial and technical DD on priority platform and add-on targets
- Financial modelling: operating and LBO models to support underwriting
- IC & investor materials: prepare IC presentations and debt/equity investor materials, and contribute in IC discussions
- Platform building: work directly on the additional platforms we intend to bring to market, building from the ground up alongside the partners
- AI & agentic workflows: help expand our AI platform and toolkit across the deal process
Who we're looking for:
- Master's (completed or in progress) in Business, Finance, Economics, or a Natural/Social Science; exceptional Bachelor candidates with relevant experience also considered
- Prior experience in private equity or investment banking is required
- Top-decile academic track record and a demonstrated record of excellence
- Strong analytical skills and a solid command of financial statements and modelling
- Fluent German (native or near-native) and English; German fluency is essential for our DACH roll-up work
- Structured, detail-oriented, self-driven, and comfortable with autonomy in an agile team
Our selection process includes a structured technical assessment.
What we offer:
- A genuine path to a permanent Analyst role; the internship is how we both test the fit
- Competitive compensation
- First-hand exposure to the full private equity process, with responsibility and impact from day one
- Direct mentorship from investors with 15–20+ years of PE and industry experience
- The rare chance to help build new platforms from inception
- Berlin-based, in an office shared with our portfolio company Neuplaner, with hybrid remote flexibility
Start: flexible; we review applications on a rolling basis.
