Deine Aufgaben
Work on real-world energy systems – not toy problems. You’ll help us build and improve a cloud-based platform that optimizes how energy is produced, stored, and used.
EnopAI is an early-stage software startup, originating from Rudolf Hörmann GmbH & Co. KG. We empower leading EMS integrators and hardware vendors with cloud-to-cloud “optimization-as-a-service,” seamlessly linking on-site control systems to our AI engine.
Our real-time platform ingests live data streams—solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers, CHP units—and instantly tunes every parameter to drive down costs and carbon emissions. Proven at the Hörmann production site and a growing roster of industrial partners, EnopAI delivers tangible stability, savings and a smoother path through Europe’s energy transition.
We’re inviting passionate individuals to join us at the forefront of energy innovation—where every line of code you write drives cleaner, more resilient grids across Europe.
Work on real-world energy systems – not toy problems. You’ll help us build and improve a cloud-based platform that optimizes how energy is produced, stored, and used.
- Model energy systems: Build and refine models of energy systems – from structured analyses to advanced simulations using optimization and time-series approaches
- Turn data into decisions: Clean, explore, and analyze real-world energy data to uncover patterns and support product and business decisions
- Apply machine learning where it matters: Develop and test models for forecasting, classification, or anomaly detection in real-world applications
- Build & ship: Contribute to our cloud-based tools and data pipelines – from first prototype to production-ready solutions
- Work across disciplines: Collaborate closely with product and business teams, bringing in your technical perspective
- Take ownership: Work on open-ended problems, structure your approach, and help move the team forward with your insights
- You’re currently enrolled in a technical field (e.g. data science, computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics) – or bring comparable skills from other paths
- You have solid Python skills and feel comfortable working with data (e.g. pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn or similar)
- You’re interested in (or have first experience with) modeling, simulation, or optimization – especially in energy systems
- You understand the basics of machine learning and how models are built, evaluated, and improved
- You enjoy working with real-world data – including messy datasets and imperfect information
- You’re curious about the energy domain and how systems like electricity markets, renewables, or storage work
- Experience with cloud tools, APIs, or Git is a plus – but not required
- You work in a structured, self-driven way and are comfortable figuring things out as you go
- You communicate well in English (German is a plus, not a requirement)
- Real impact: Your work directly affects how energy systems are optimized in practice
- Technical depth: Work on complex, meaningful problems at the intersection of energy, data science, and software
- Ownership from day one: You’re not just supporting – you’re building and shaping parts of the product
- Learn fast: Close collaboration with experienced team members and direct feedback loops
- Flexible setup: Working hours that fit your studies
