What You'll Do

You will work in the Insurance Excellence Benchmark Team. The team provides cost and operational efficiency assessments by benchmarking data from (re-)insurance companies worldwide. You will support the end-to-end benchmark process, including data collection from clients and internal sources, data validation and analysis, and the ongoing maintenance and further development of our database and technical solutions. You will also contribute to analytical outputs and presentations used by BCG case teams and clients.

You can work up to 20 hours/week during your semesters and up to 40 hours/week during your vacation time. The role offers enough flexibility to combine personal, academic and professional life. This is a temporary role from min. 12 to max. 24 months. You need to be an enrolled university student in Germany.

What You'll Bring

You offer the following technical skills and qualifications needed to succeed in the role:

• Enrolled Master-student in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field (must have)
• Very strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with additional analytical or data tools is a plus (must have)
• Strong analytical capabilities and confidence in working with large datasets (must have)
• Proficient and responsible use of AI tools to support analysis, automation, and efficiency (must have)
• Prior exposure to the insurance industry or related topics is preferred but not required
  
  

Who You'll Work With

You’ll work closely with the Insurance Excellence Benchmark Team, collaborating with experienced consultants and analysts, as well as with other members of the Insurance practice area across BCG.

The team supports client projects worldwide by providing proprietary benchmarks, deep industry insights, and data-driven efficiency assessments.
