IXP GmbH bridges experimental user research, dataset engineering, and affective computing to support both industry partners and publicly funded innovation projects. Our portfolio spans two complementary pillars: [a] Industry: Experimental User Studies [a1] User Studies: We conduct objective, data-driven evaluations of Human–Product Interaction to verify Feasibility, Robustness, Usability and User Experience. By combining behavioral measures with physiological data, we deliver scientifically grounded insights into how users truly experience products and systems. [a2] Dataset Engineering A second core competence lies in Dataset Engineering: IXP designs and generates high-quality, application-specific datasets for Deep Learning and AI systems, ensuring robustness, validity, and real-world relevance. [b] Public Funding: Affective Computing Demonstrators [b1] Affective Computing demonstrators Within national and European funding programs, IXP develops and validates technology demonstrators (TRL 3–6) in the field of affective computing. [b1.1] User State Detection: Development of demonstrators based on physiological and behavioral data to detect states such as: Pain, Workload, Comfort, Stress, Confusion [b1.2] Virtual Instructor Systems Audio- and video-based dialog systems for training and real-time support of rookies: including digital twins of senior instructors for scalable expertise transfer.
