Your Role
Join the Bioassay Automation Lab within the Discovery Pharmacology Department in Darmstadt. You will help automate and digitalize bioassays and integrate laboratory instruments into automated workflows. Your work includes connecting devices to scheduling software, improving data capture and traceability, and supporting reliable generation of high-quality experimental data. You will collaborate closely with scientists and automation experts, contribute to troubleshooting and continuous improvement of automated runs, and develop/maintain Python scripts for device integration, method execution, data QC, and reporting. Hands-on lab interest combined with strong automation and coding skills is essential.

Who You Are / Your Qualifications
- Enrolled student (m/w/d) (BSc/MSc) in automation/engineering/biochemistry or related
- Knowledge in Python preferred; JSON/API/data formats
- Lab experience in biology/biochemistry; good documentation skills
- Experience with liquid handlers & scheduling/orchestration software
- Hands-on, structured, team-oriented; English fluent; German
