What To Expect From Us
- Optical design of novel beam shaping elements for materials processing using ultrashort pulsed lasers
- Design of efficient and high-power resistant diffractive optics and digital holograms
- Laser beam characterization of shaped focus distribution
- Testing and characterization of optical components
- Development of control loops based on adaptive optical components
- Optimization of optical designs based in in-situ diagnostics of light-matter interaction
- Studies in physics, engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable field of study
- First experience in Laser physics and optical design are welcome
- Programming experience with Python, C# or MATLAB are welcome
- First experiences with optics design software like OpticStudio, VirtualLab, or Code V are welcome
- Lab experience with handling of optical components useful
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Very good language skills in English or German
- Analytical and conceptual skills, structured and independent way of working
- Mandatory internship or voluntary internship (also possible during a gap year between bachelor’s and master’s)
