Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in Hapag-Lloyd's Internal Control System (ICS), offering valuable insights into the governance and compliance practices of a leading shipping organization. As a Working Student, you will play a vital role in supporting the monitoring and analysis of control testing activities, contributing to the enhancement of risk and control inventories, and ensuring consistent documentation standards.


Responsibilities

  • Support the monitoring of control testing activities worldwide, ensuring consistent documentation and reliable reporting
  • Analyze control testing results, preparing summaries and dashboards to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Track and support the remediation of quality issues, developing guidance for control testing
  • Research and pilot potential AI use cases to enhance risk and control inventories, particularly in improving control descriptions
  • Assist in maintaining documentation of organizations, processes and controls in SAP GRC
  • Help maintain the ICS intranet pages, keeping policies, procedures and training materials up-to-date
  • Liaise with control testers and stakeholders globally, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in governance, risk management and compliance practices
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Hapag-Lloyds Internal Control System
  • Provide support and assistance to the Internal Controls team as needed


Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a relevant degree program (Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Legal, Engineering or related field) with strong academic performance
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to draw conclusions from data
  • Generally sound command of IT, with a willingness to learn about SAP GRC, SAP ERP and other IT systems and data analysis tools
  • Genuine interest in understanding diverse business processes across Sales, Procurement, Finance and IT departments
  • Solid command of the English language (written and spoken) for effective communication with global teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment as well as excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and a passion for continuous learning and professional development
