GSI is an AI transformation partner for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. We help firms implement AI-driven automation to scale operations and unlock human potential. As part of our growth strategy, we are exploring the integration of robotics solutions from international manufacturers into real-world AEC projects.


Role Description

Working directly with the founders, you will research and evaluate robotics manufacturers in China, establish contact, and help bring promising technologies into pilot projects with our clients.


What you will do

  • Research and map the landscape of robotics manufacturers in China relevant to the AEC sector (construction robots, prefabrication automation, inspection drones, 3D printing, etc.)
  • Establish and maintain direct contact with Chinese manufacturers, leveraging your Mandarin skills and cultural understanding
  • Evaluate technical specifications, capabilities, and pricing of robotics solutions
  • Coordinate and participate in digital and physical tests on real-world construction projects
  • Prepare technical summaries, comparison reports, and recommendations
  • Support the integration of robotics into our AI-driven workflows and client projects


What you bring

  • Active enrollment in a Civil Engineering program (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) at a Berlin university
  • Fluent in German, Mandarin Chinese, and English (spoken and written)
  • Strong interest in software, robotics, and digital technologies
  • Structured, independent working style with clear communication
  • Comfortable with cross-cultural outreach to international companies
  • Hands-on mentality and willingness to participate in field tests on construction sites
  • Available for at least 1 day per week in our Berlin office


Nice to have

  • Experience with CAD/BIM tools (e.g., Revit, ALLPLAN, Tekla)
  • Familiarity with robotics platforms, ROS, or automation frameworks
  • Basic programming skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
  • Existing contacts or experience with Chinese tech companies or manufacturers
